Boys Will Be Boys

Boys Will Be Boys

Boys Will Be Boys is a program that responds to the phase where boys act on misinformed thinking or on impulse, without reason. Within these actions we present lessons to be learned, conflicts to be settled, character to be developed.

The target group are boys between the ages of 10-17 from the tri-county area of Charleston, South Carolina. The program is continually informed by the principles adapted in the Establishing and Maintaining Power, Trust, and Respect curriculum.

The program utilizes an evidence-based approach focused on youth development concepts, youth engagement assessments, and collaborative working groups.

Opportunities provided include youth entrepreneurship and interest-based programming, while our social intervention activities include critical thinking, family roles and relationships discussions, and therapeutic circles.

We meet in-person, via Zoom, and engage in weekly group text messages. There are also other group activities, engagement opportunities, and travel excursions.
