A Girl’s World

A Girl’s World is a program based on empowerment, expression and sharing. It’s a space to grow and glow up, to heal and to love. It teaches basic life skills through activities, training, and exposure to life-changing opportunities in age-appropriate groups.
The target group are girls between the ages of 10-17 from the tri-county area of Charleston, South Carolina. The program will be informed by the principals adapted from a Girl-Centered Program Design adapted from the Love, Trust, and Respect curriculum.
The program utilizes an evidence-based approach focused on youth development concepts, youth engagement assessments, and collaborative working groups.
Opportunities provided include youth entrepreneurship and interest-based programming, while our social intervention activities include critical thinking, family roles and relationships discussions, and therapeutic circles.
We meet in-person, via Zoom, and engage in weekly group text messages. There are also other group activities, engagement opportunities, and travel excursions.
